Further, it will support its ongoing expansion in Europe and worldwide.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Why MDR Certification Matters<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The MDR framework sets a far higher bar for demonstrating safety, performance and manufacturing quality than the previously applicable Medical Device Directive (MDD). Nasal sprays such as Bentrio, previously classified as self-declared Class I devices, are now regulated as <strong>Class IIa<\/strong> device, requiring independent review by a designated Notified Body.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>With the certification completed, Bentrio can now be commercialized in all EU member states under the new rules, bearing the \u201cCE mark\u201d. The largest study, <strong>NASAR<\/strong>, enrolled 100 patients with seasonal allergic rhinitis and compared Bentrio with saline over two weeks of treatment.
